What do you do each day?
We check the agreed bookkeeping workflow each working day: gather invoices and receipts, record and categorise transactions, reconcile bank and card accounts, and follow up on missing items. The exact tasks, working-day coverage and cut-off times are agreed when you join.
Which software can you work with?
We work with Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, FreeAgent, Zoho Books, Clear Books, KashFlow, Pandle, QuickFile, FreshBooks and VT Transaction+, plus Dext, Hubdoc and AutoEntry for receipts. We also work with files in Google Drive and Dropbox, and communicate through Slack. We agree access and the routine around your setup before we begin.
Do I need to change software or accountant?
You can keep your current software and accountant. We handle the agreed day-to-day bookkeeping in your existing setup, with records available for your accountant’s year-end and tax work.
How does email monitoring work?
We agree the inboxes or folders we can access and what we should look for. With your permission, we check them for business invoices and receipts, bring the documents into your bookkeeping workflow and track missing items. We also agree who we can contact for missing paperwork and how follow-ups should be handled.
How much does daily bookkeeping cost?
Essentials is £295 a month for businesses with annual turnover up to £150,000. Plus is £495 for turnover of £150,000–£500,000, and Managed is £795 for £500,000–£5 million. These bands are a starting guide: we review your setup and agree a fixed monthly fee before work starts. All plans include daily bookkeeping, agreed finance inbox monitoring and receipt follow-up. Above £5 million turnover, we give a tailored quote. There is no hourly billing, each package covers one business entity, and your software subscription stays your own and is paid separately.
Does this include tax returns or payroll?
This service focuses on bookkeeping. Catch-up work, tax returns, payroll, CIS returns, VAT return submission and statutory filings are quoted separately. We’ll confirm responsibilities with you and your accountant at the start.
