A Sage bookkeeping service that runs every working day.
We keep your Sage books up to date for you, in the Sage product you already use. Bank transactions reconciled, sales and purchase ledgers kept current, receipts captured and missing paperwork chased. You keep your software and your accountant. We take the daily work.
Sage is only as useful as the data inside it. Our job is to keep that data current, so your bank balance, your aged debtors and your VAT figures are right when you look at them, not three weeks later.
BANK FEEDS AND RECONCILIATION
Bank transactions matched. Balances that agree.
If your bank is connected to Sage through a bank feed, we work through the new transactions each working day. If your bank does not feed into Sage, we import statement files instead. Either way, each line is matched to an invoice, a bill or the right nominal code.
Where the same supplier appears every month, we can set up bank rules in Sage Accounting or Sage 50, so routine items are coded the same way every time. We still check what the rules have done. Then we reconcile each bank and card account to the statement, so the balance in Sage matches the balance at the bank.

SALES AND PURCHASE LEDGERS
Who owes you. Who you owe.
We record supplier bills on the purchase ledger and post payments against them, so the bill shows as paid rather than sitting in your creditors. On the sales side, we match customer receipts to the invoices you have raised, so your aged debtors report shows what is genuinely still unpaid.
Part payments, credit notes and refunds are allocated properly, not left as loose amounts on account.

DOCUMENT CAPTURE AND RECEIPTS
Receipts captured. Gaps followed up.
Many Sage users send bills and receipts through AutoEntry or a similar capture tool. If you already use one, we review what it has read, check the supplier, date, net amount and VAT, then publish it to Sage.
With your permission, we monitor the finance inbox you agree with us for supplier invoices and receipts. When a payment leaves the bank with no paperwork behind it, we follow it up with you or the person you nominate and keep a list of what is still outstanding.

SAGE ACCOUNTING OR SAGE 50
Whichever Sage you already use.
Sage Accounting is the cloud product you open in a browser. Sage 50 is the longer-standing desktop product, often with data hosted or shared across a team. They look different and handle bank feeds, rules and reports in their own ways. We work in whichever one your business already runs on.
We don’t ask you to move products, change your chart of accounts or rebuild your nominal codes. We learn how your Sage is set up, agree any small tidy-ups with you, then keep it running the same way.
VAT-READY RECORDS
VAT figures you can trust at quarter end.
Under Making Tax Digital for VAT, VAT-registered businesses keep digital records and submit returns through compatible software. Sage Accounting and Sage 50 can both do this.
That means the correct VAT rate on each bill and sale, reverse charge and zero-rated items coded properly, and receipts in place for the VAT you reclaim. At quarter end the figures are ready to review. Filing the VAT return itself is a separate piece of work, quoted on its own, or handled by your accountant.
Because the books are kept up every working day, month-end is a check rather than a scramble. We confirm every bank and card account is reconciled, review the debtors and creditors lists for anything odd, and clear up items sitting in suspense.
You then get a monthly financial summary in plain English: what came in, what went out and anything we need from you. Your accountant gets the same Sage data, clean and current, for year-end and tax work.
ONE FIXED MONTHLY PRICE
Sage bookkeeping prices. No hourly billing.
Use your annual turnover to find your starting point. We review your records and workload, then agree one fixed monthly fee, confirmed in your quote. Each package covers one entity. Your Sage subscription stays your own and is paid separately.
FOR SMALL BUSINESSES
Essentials
ANNUAL TURNOVERUp to £150,000
Daily bookkeeping for sole traders, consultants and small businesses who want their time back.
If your Sage is months behind we review the backlog first. Catch-up work is outside the monthly packages and quoted separately. Once the books are current, the daily service keeps them that way.
Yes. We work in whichever Sage product you already use. You create a user login for us with the access you are comfortable with, and we keep your existing chart of accounts and setup.
What if my bank doesn’t feed into Sage?
We can import statement files into Sage instead and reconcile from those. We agree with you how and when statements reach us, so the books stay current either way.
Do I need AutoEntry?
No. If you already use AutoEntry or another capture tool, we work with it. If you don’t, we work from documents sent by email or saved to a shared folder, and match them to the payments in Sage.
Will you submit my VAT return?
The monthly packages cover keeping your records VAT-ready. Filing the VAT return, tax returns, payroll and other statutory filings are outside the packages and quoted separately, or handled by your accountant.
How much does a Sage bookkeeping service cost?
Essentials is £295 per month for turnover up to £150,000, Plus is £495 for £150,000–£500,000 and Managed is £795 for £500,000–£5 million. The final fixed monthly fee is confirmed in your quote after we review your records.
